What is the Production stages?
The production stages in filmmaking can be broken down into three main phases: pre-production, production, and post-production.

Pre-productions
  • Planning stage of filmmaking
  • Need to budget, outlined the general cost
  • Preparations before filming begins
Production
  • Filming start
  • Capture all the footage needed for the film
  • Involves a large team of people
Post-production
  • Final Stage
  • Footage is edited and assembled into a final project

What is Production Crew?
The production crew is a team of professionals who work together to create a film or video. Each member of the crew has a specific role and set of responsibilities, which are essential to the overall success of the production.
  • Director: responsible for overseeing the entire production
  • Producer: Take part in logistical and financial aspects of the production, hiring crew, coordinate schedule and locations.
  • Cinematographer: Same as Director of Photography, responsible for the visual aesthetic of the film.
  • Production Director: Take part over the visual design of the film such as sets, costumes, and props.
  • Sound Designer: Take part over the audio aspects of the film. Recording and editing dialogue for the film.
  • Editor: Responsible for assembling the footage into a coherent and compelling story.

Project 1

Exercise 1

Clip of the Movie (Everything, Everywhere, All At Once) without any sounds are provided. We need to do the audio dubbing for this short film, we also add the sound effects and ambiance sounds into it.

Before starting we need to prepare a spreadsheet for this audio dubbing. We also need to find the sound effects that are suitable in the film.

Exercise 2

In this exercise, we are requested to record our own voice in 5 seconds and do the sound editing to make the voice speak in a specific place.

  • Voice coming from inside of the closet.
  • Voice of toilet/bathroom.
  • Underground cave.
  • Alien/ Orc voice

Reflections

Experience
During the class we are given chances to try to practice how to shoot by using the knowledge that we learn from the classes. We can know about the process to making a film.

Observation
Different position in a production crew team make the process of shooting more efficiency

Conclusion
Overall during this project is fun. While shooting the footage I found that how hard in reality while shooting a film.
