Final Project: Stop Motion
Week 1 Task

Figure 1.1 Lost Sheep | Paper Stop Motion Short Film by Lukas Rooney
This stop motion video is made by Lukas Rooney. It is about a three-legged lamb realizes he is not like other sheep, he leaves the safety of his home, but the good shepherd embarks on a journey to rescue the lost lamb. I love the story it is heart warming. The clip looks so minimalist, paper are the only medium that use in this stop motion video but the works presented are particularly clear. We can clearly know what are happening.

This stop motion video is made by Peter Badač. This is a story about loss. I love how they use the layer of the character as their life. It is very creative. The clip is so smooth the motion of the character while running looks like a animated video. They also include different camera angle/shoot in this video and I really like it, this made the video become more interesting.

This stop motion video is about decision making and guilt, a young woman responsible for a car accident. She escapes the scene but can’t stop thinking, or imagining, what happened to the other driver. And soon strange things starts to happen. I like how the details of the props they use in the video. The chips and the stuff in the market is so detailed. The color mood and background music in the video help to show a depressing atmosphere and I like it. And some of the scene is really creepy especially the scene at the car park.
Week 4 Task

- Choose to work solo or in pairs. (can change later)
The medium that I prefer to use to create our stop motion video is stuffed animals and clay. I was planning to done this assignment in pairs with Natasya
Stop Motion Practice Shoot
In this task,we are divide into a small group with 4-5 members. We share our props and material with another group.In this we divide into another two small groups, one working with DSLR cam and another work with phone.

Move to the editing stage both of us have our own part to do. Me (Hui Zhen) will take part the footage editing part and Natasya will do the sound editing.

Reflection
In this task I was found how hard for a stop-motion artist to create a stopmotion video But overall the progress is fun and memorable. I enjoy the whole progress and I have a great time with my group members.
